Two of three positions work. The position for raising and lowering the rear potion of the seat ratchets. Th emotor works, but there is a problem in the gear box. Has anyone ever taken the gearbox apart? If so, how easy is it to get back together? Is is user repairable and where do I get the parts or gears?
I believe it is the standard. I can move it forward and back, and raise and lower the front of the seat. I can not raise and lower the back of the seat bottom. The motor works, but there is a rrrrrrrrrr sound coming for mthe gear box on the left under the seat. I have taken ou the seat cushion and the motor works and the cable turns.

Re: Power seat (his touch)
Drivers seat in my '91 does the same. If I lean forward it doesnt make the noise and the seat adjusts normally. I havent had the chance yet to pull it apart. Im having the seats re-upholstered soon (my ex wifes husband does upholstery on show cars and is doing custom leather seats for me) and I will prolly do it then.
check the rear pivot by the gear sometimes this gets corroded(will not move) then strips the gear just replaced my passenger side due to this. the gear box on my 92' is riveted together
you can have yours rebuilt for 200 at mad or ecklers
or there are some on e-bay from time to time
Good luck,Bob :)
