Default Probbly a dumb question

I am changing my coolant temp sensor and when putting antifreeze back do I just fill up the reservoir or is there another place to put it? I don't see a radiator cap unless I am missing it

You fill it up at the reservoir.

Going to assume that you have a LT1 since your talking about a reservoir. . You should always put the year of the car in your post. There should be a bleeder screw on the waterneck that will help purge trapped air.

fill the reservoir.

LT1 has surge tank mounted on right side of engine compartment and coolant reservoir in front of right front wheel. There should be a radiator type cap on surge tank. If engine / coolant is cold add to surge tank. Loosen bleeder screw until stream of coolant appears then tighten. Start engine add coolant as necessary re-install cap. Top off coolant or if coolant is hot using reservoir.

Don't know if you have changed the sensor yet, but if you haven't, use an old towel stuffed under it to catch the antifreeze that will leak out. It won't pour a whole lot, but it does tend to splatter everywhere if you don't have something under it to sop it up. Mine came out very easy. After breaking it loose with the socket I could turn it out with my fingers. Have the new one close to grab and put back in the hole and you won't loose much more than a cup full of coolant in the exchange.

Also, if opening the bleed screw, put a towel underneath. You shouldn't get a lot of liquid out of it if you are paying attention, but why risk drowning your Optispark?!?
