'84 wheels have a 39mm offset while the later wheels are 54mm. On my '84 with C5 Z06 rims I use a 1.5 inch spacer.

This Corvette Central link may help...

As far as the seats, I'm sure anything is doable. The controls for the '84 are in the center console and the seats are bolted on to the controls. The bolt pattern to mount the seats on to the mounting frame will be different.

good luck.

I wasn't sure just how thick.then i would need longer studs or is this an adapter.I figured i could do any seats. Just finding the width and if i could get to controls because they would be on seat for 97 to get by side rail would stick with seat control.
Thank u for the info much appreciated.

Use an adapter, NOT a spacer. The guys at Discount Tire told me company policy doesn't allow them to work on cars with spacers. They are afraid of liability issues.

When you use an adapter, you'll be putting those on and using the supplied lug nuts, the studs sticking out of the adapters will be used to put the wheels on with your wheel nuts.

I know this is a pain in the butt, after maybe 50 miles or less, you should actually take the wheels off again and re-torque the adapters, then put the wheels back checking those after about 25 miles.

I LOVE the looks of C6 wheels on a C4!!!

On the '93 I did 2" spacers which were perfect. The front didn't need anything.

The way I did it was I jacked up the car from under the suspension, took the stock wheel off. Then lowered the car to regular height. I then just set the C6 wheel where I wanted it to line up with the fender and measured from the back of the wheel where it matches up to the rotor to the rotor itself. It sounds corny (real scientific huh?) , but I had nothing to do and just had fun...and it worked. I had the wheel out exactly where I wanted them. I was fortunate to have the C6 wheel with tire mounted as a template. It also made up my mind on how much I would love the look.

You could have a C6 friend come over and take his wheel off to use as your template. Maybe you would like 1 1/2" or 1 3/4" better for you.
