mirror defroster button
quick question, i just replaced the ac controller on my 89 convert,
I can turn on mirror defrosters on but not turn off, they do go off automatically when timer runs out, I thought i remember being able to manually turn them off.

From what I've heard, the HVAC control heads are different between the coupe and convertible. That might be the source of your symptoms. I don't know what years are affected by this difference.

you cant manually turn off, you have to wait for the timer to run out. I
thought I used to be able to hit button again to turn off. cant remember, since its the same button to turn on and off I know the button is fine.

Side mirror heat light came on when I pushed the button and turned off when I pushed it again. Tried it several times so at least on an 87 convertible its supposed to turn back off when pushed.

I thought so, thanks for checking for me. must be the electronics cause the button must be fine if it turns it on no problem. thanks again
