I would flush it for the first cash offer over 4k.....just for some contrast I paid 9k for an original 95 car with no problems and 38k miles in march of this year....

It seems 95's have fewer miles to me. I paid same last year, clean vert ZF6 38k miles. Maybe it's just I'm more aware because I have a 95. Pricing estimates from others seem fair, how much are corevettes listed / selling in your local area. The mods are a detractor to most.

I totally agree mods damage overall value. The last thing I need is to buy a car from some azzclown that has been working on it with his best pair of vice grips....

How. I sensed nothing negative or derogatory against those of us who prefer and enjoy understanding the engineering of these cars and how to keep them running and mechanically sound.

Do some searches of Craigslist for high mileage C4s in the area. Then have him price that car well below what others are asking.
I have had my home for sale in Michigan for about 5 months now (finally sold - yay!). As part of the process I sold my last C4 and have been watching the market in the Arizona/Las Vegas/Palm Springs area where I an moving. There are a bunch of C4s there that have been on the market for the entire time I have been lurking. That area is flooded with C4s.
In order to make/recover some money you need to do this:
1. Have the interior, engine bay and exterior detailed by a pro. Install some chrome (valve covers etc.)
2. Fix any problems with the car.
3. Do a compression and leak down test. In fact - you should do this first. If they are bad then don't spend any money fixing it. Just put it on Craigslist for a super low price and walk away to fight another day.
4. If 3 is good then do a good service and tune up and price it to compete with what ever else is out there. i.e. lower than the rest of the poor schlubs on the market.
There is a chance that someone will like the custom paint. If you advertise that it is excellent mechanical condition and can prove it with test results then you might have a chance.
So we are clear, I didn't mean your car is screwed up by whoever made the modifications. That is not what I meant. Its just auto shop slang for people who don't really know what they are doing or have the proper tools to do it. This combination usually results in damage and not improvements.
PS - if anyone ever says "tighten er down till it starts to get loose again then back er off a quarter turn" don't take them seriously.

I really hate to say this but I would not buy it for anything over $3500. Again a combination of the paint and mods with no specs.
All that (custom?) stuff took more away from the car than the high mileage does. $3500.00 max. Most likely $2500.00 to $3000.00 will be more in range with what buyers, if any, will want to pay for it. Sorry to sound so negative, but the market on this customized car will be very limited.

A narrowing market do the very high mileage and custom paint. As the market narrows the price drops. On the flip side it could be someone's dream car. Good luck finding that someone. It's more than likely a tuff sell.
