Upgrading underhood lights to led - Howto

I just received and installed mine tonight. Wow, what a difference! All pics below were taken without camera flash in a semi-dark garage.
New LED on left, original on right
Both new LEDs installed
My dirty engine bay, lit only by the new LED lights, no camera flash.

Looks great.
Ive enjoyed the upgrade on mine with it now being usable to actually work on things under the hood at night. Amazing how much of a difference it made.

Crowz, which LEDs would you recommend for this? I should do mine with an upgrade, (for one thing the vastly more energy efficient bulbs give a ton of time to work underhood at night), but I also want to do the side marker lights.
What lumens bulbs do I want for that particular upgrade too?
Also, have you done anything to the trunk area lights yet?

The under the hood bulbs I used are :
JDM ASTAR Extremely Bright 48-EX Chipsets 569 578 211-2 212-2 1.72" LED Bulbs, Xenon White
Which I bought from amazon for $9.95 each.
I did change the trunk area ones but the convertible uses a different setup than the coupe I believe.
Here are the bulbs I used for the interior floor and trunk area on my convertible.

On the interior lights I'm not entirely happy with them. The color is perfect as it makes my red interior very eerie looking at night but its a bit dim when it comes to actually seeing things in the cargo/trunk area. I'll probably leave them in the floorboard lights but will upgrade to something stronger in the cargo area. White may be what I go with since I have some of the same led bulbs except they are white but haven't tried them yet.

This is the thread for the side marker (turn assist and backup assist) led conversion. I haven't changed out my side market only bulbs yet but I do have the bulbs for it

As for the lumen rating I think the side marker replacements I did were 1200 lumens. I don't know the lumen rating for the others.
But the side markers (turn signal part) showed up nicely

I know the feeling Ive got so many parts laying here to install weather permitting its not even funny.
I still havent made pictures of the backup lights (side marker) or the main backup lights I replaced.
Still havent installed the led corvette logo projector ghostlights for when I open the doors at night that make a circle floor mat kind of deal on the ground beside the car. Been looking at them laying there for a month just no time to put them in.
The list goes on.

My biggest project is the android based info center to replace the factory info center in the top part of the center console.
The company that made the ioio board I'm using made it sound a good bit simpler to write apps for it than it actually was. Then the soldering to do to tap the factory warning light bulb sockets to the controller board is tedious. My eyesight isn't what it used to be.
I'm currently setting up micro switches to let me know if my headlights successfully rotated when turned on or off.

Reviving an old thread haha. Does anyone know where to buy replacement sockets for these under hood lights? I just bought a C4 and this is one of the quick things I'm doing initially and the actual sockets are rusted/busted.
