Default 17 vs 18 inch wheels

Hi all, I am getting my 95 convertible some new wheels and tires for Christmas. I was wondering if there was any advantage to putting 18s on over the stock 17s. The 18s I found were a few dollars less than the 17s for the same design. Just curious as to some , hopefully, informed opinions.
Thanks

appearance & customized to your preference. The down side. More weight, less tire wall. To cushion the road. Tires selection is limited. typically cost more. your current front is a 45 x 17 - you will need to get 35 x 18

I'm not aware of any advantages of going to 18". Some people like that look better ......... that part is up to you.

I love the fact that my 95 is a Z07 and thus all 4 wheels are the same. Allows me to rotate the tires.

You would need to confirm I'd think the availability of the appropriate sized 17 & 18 that you want to use. If there were maybe 2 - 4 choices for either and 6 - 8 available for the other I'd likely chose what was going to be more readily available later. Might be next to impossible to figure that but I'd certainly look. If there's multitude of OE's that use the sizing the likelihood of them being available in the distant future seems more likely.

Are you considering 9" X 4 for widths? Or a stagger of some sort?

Maybe show us the wheel choices? Width/offset and center-bore might be a concern.

Both sets, the 17s & 18s were 9.5" wide on all four corners. It's the same wheel design for both. It's a replica of the c6 Z06 wheel. I like the stock saw blades , but she's getting new paint at the beginning of next year and I want to update her wheels as well. I'll be staying with the polo green and I thought the gunmetal finish on these wheels would compliment the car color without being black. Never been a fan of black wheels.
