It was more folding than anything else. Here's a quick run down from memory.
1st. I took it out of the car and then un-screwed the cushion part from the plastic.
2nd. I used cloth patch tape like you can get at an auto store to patch a torn seat to cover the cracks.
3rd. I took the piece of vinyl and pulled it across the narrow part and sewed it together in the middle on what would be the inside of the door.
4th. I did the best I could to pull the sides that were left on the long end and tuck the corners. I then sewed those ends to the inside piece that I had created in step 3.
5th. I cut out the portion where the light goes so it would go back together.
6th. I then pressed the plastic part back over the inside section, which in turns pulls everything together, and screwed it back together. At this point you have to be EXTREMELY careful to go slow and get it right. If you try to do this part to quickly or try screwing one side down completely before trying another side I believe you'd end up splitting the plastic. Luckly for me, I was careful and didn't crack any of my plastic.
