EGR CODE 32

EGR CODE 32
My dad has a '91 and has been getting an intermittent SES light. We used a code scanner and found it to be a code 32. My question is with something like that, is it usually the solenoid, or the little sensor/switch with the wire on it? What's the best way to tell? My feeling is it's the switch. Also, where might be a good place to buy a replacement part?

On my '88, I replaced the egr switch on the egr tube that runs up from the exhaust manifold on the pass. side. No more code 32! Costs about $20. You can cut and splice into the old wire, instead of trying to unplug it behind the distributor. While you're doing this, update the egr tube insulation, if you haven't done that yet. Mine looked like crap when I got my car last year. It's the first thing I replaced.

i just bought a 93 vette and i had the same problem This EGR Valve needs to be replaced it will cause serious acceleration problems and will cause
your Serv. Eng. Soon light to be active. need to know more Im me and i wil let you know what i went through.
