In my opinion it is a lot of trouble for not much gain. Adding the resistors needed to get the directional and emergency flashers to work is an extra bit of work and the only real plus is your brake lights illuminate a touch faster using the LEDs. I'd spend the money and time on other things I think.
Just put LED replacement bulbs in my friends 88 the other day. They were 2 to a package and about $22.00! Don't remember what the brand name were. They are white LED replacement bulbs for the filament type bulbs that were in there, so they clicked right in the sockets. They are much brighter than the old bulbs BUT, like mentioned above, they don't put enough load on the turn sig. flasher to make it cycle. Two alternatives are to add load resistors (which he didn't want to do) or replace the turn signal flasher bimetallic can with one made for trailer towing. That module has a timer ckt. that makes it flash and isn't affected by the amperage load on the line. We haven't got one of those yet but I've heard you can get them at auto parts stores like Pep Boys & NAPA or trailer rental places.
(4) - 1157 (45)LED tower bulbs from SuperBrightLeds. Make sure you select them in RED.
Result: Driver side = LED, Passenger Side = Halogen. Cheap enough, effective, durable, and it doesn't give off that "light brite" look like the individual LED panels do. WAY brighter than the stock bulbs and illuminate much quicker.

I think LED Tail Lights is a very viable mod these days. I know the stock tail lights on y 93 looks dated and weak. Plus the added to better security of bright LEDs over stock. Price over added security in the event of an accident is key here.

Is the Same for new super bright plasma led bulbs??
I would take these
Never heard of Plasma LED's. I would suspect it is the same and the term, "plasma," when it pertains to an LED is just a marketing term to make their LED bulbs sound superior to others. An LED is just a diode that lights up when electricity is passed through it. Nothing fancy going on here.

Look at the back of a tractor trailor's LED tail lights when they start to burn out. One or two, then three or four of the individual lights burn out. Then try to match one. Many trucks have a few different type lights as they most likely could not match what was there before. Not a good look.
That video is a little misleading to me. It shows the 1157 incandescent a little brighter than the LED Tower Bulbs. This is because there are not 45 individual SMD LED's on the tower like the ones from Superbright LED. The ones I posted will fill the entire tail light housing with light better than those "Plasma" LED's with the chinese projector on it that puts most of the light straight out instead of 360 degrees. The "Plasma" may give you the illusion that they are brighter head on, but from the side I can almost promise they won't be as bright as the LED Tower Bulbs.
The LED replacement bulbs with the little projector on top would be more suitable for something that is supposed to throw light (headlight/fog light), not something that is supposed to glow/illuminate from all visible directions.

I have a set 1175 cree led plasma bulb's in myMercedes as fog lights. They are brighter and have a better field of light than the HID head lights. However, the projector on one of them has stopped working and has lessen the brightness considerably. It didn't even last a year.
