Old red caked the wet sticky rubber on the rear quarter panel bottms.
I am the type of Corvette owner who ENJOYS his car. I drive the car hard sometimes if running it at 5000 rpm's is considered hard and love it at the same time. I can't imagine just looking at it and talking about what it can do blah blah blah. I am on top of all maintenance and if something breaks I get it repaired. I recently bought a C5 performance modification book. In it was mention of the first Z06. Only 500 were produced. The most desirable Corvette around according to the author. If I had one I wouldn't do doughnuts in the gym parking lot. I would have it spinning in circles nice and slow.
When I was 19 I burnt thru tires and it was a badge of honor. Not to mention fun as hell.
When I was in my 30's my 86 vette was fun to burn out from time to time but I felt bad about the tire life and didn't like the cost. But it was still worth it.
In my 50's with the 87 383 stroker and 3.73 gears its hard as hell to not spin out, I feel stupid at times doing the spin outs since Im not trying to and I feel my wallet bite my *** everytime it happens. Not quite worth it now.

Joys of aging
I bought used tires just to trash em. My next set will be new and my burn outs will be extremely minimal. For me it's about the money. However changing the wheels to some old beat up tires might just be the answer. My buddies and I have a blast making clouds of white smoke.

Defacing property ? My interpretation of this is spray painting " Mustangs rule" not putting rubber tracks on a gym parking lot. Certainly not one I've been a member of since Feb 1999. Your statement implies that I have no respect for other people or their property. Ridiculous rambling coming from someone too lame to drive his Corvette like he has a pair. Insults aside the rain will wash it away along with the bird crap.
