Speedometer Calibration Help

I need to replace the driven gear in my 1993 Vert 700R4 transmission. I need a #38 driven gear. Can any one tell me what (stock) driven gear is in there now? Will I require a new speed sensor?

What was the rear gear RPO "as built" on the SPID label? It should be cut and dried. You determined the 38 tooth how?

From: near the thumb in the mitten

The speedo gears are color coded and the tooth count is normally stamped on them. You be able to replace just the gear.
