Geez....goto search type in "Lowering kit"
There are over 140 hits on Lowering kit in the subject line.
Then lets talk
Thanks but not seeing any of those "140 hits" related to my thread. Looking for responses based on this eBay kit or similar kits. Would love to talk with someone experienced with a kit similar to link provided.
You can probably google easier than search this site now, but those kits are just longer bolts for the rear and wedge for the front.
Some go a step further and remove the rubber pads on the spring as well to make it lower. I would not do that.
The kit is probably fine, BUT you never know the quality of the bolts or materials UNLESS they specify. It's been done probably to at least 1/4 of the c4 vettes ever produced maybe more.

Thanks so much for your response. This site has been very helpful but it amazes me how some respond to intentionally NOT be helpful (maybe it's just to increase post number lol). Thanks again!
This "kit" is available from a number of the Corvette accessory vendors here on the Forum (Corvette Central is one of them)
It's not so much the price of the kit as it is the work required. For example, to lower the front of the car, the front spring has to come out and some grinding will be required if you do want to remove the pads. If you haven't had any experience with front suspension work, this should be left to a shop to do.
The rear bolts are easy to do; just a floor jack and jack stands. It would be a good idea to replace the spring bushings at the same time but they don't seem to be part of the kit.
Finally, the car will need an alignment once it has been lowered.

1. In the upper RH corner of the discussion box click on the link to "search this forum"
2. Click on the "Advanced Search" option
3. Enter your "lowering kit" in the Keywords field and select "Search titles only"
4. Select C4 Corvettes 1984-1996 and check the box for "Also search in child forums"
5. Then click "Search Now"
This C4 forum is filled with information and everyone would be amazed at the volumes of data if they just learned to search and read first before waiting for someone to answer to yet another new thread on a subject that has been covered over and over.
Just a tip when you drop the rear, you also close the gap on the bump stops. So if your ride is "harsh" you might want to cut back those rubbers to gain some travel.
