Hey guys, hoping some of you would send some pics of your front speaker installs for 1990+ vettes. Right now I have 3.5 inch speakers in the front because that is all that will fit. The FAQ says 5.25 will fit but I don't see that happening without configuring the enclosures, which I'm not against but would like to see other peoples finished products. Thanks for any help!
I decided to go ahead and build my own enclosures for the front speakers. They are designed to fit 6.5" speakers. I'll post more pictures after I let the glue dry and test it out tomorrow.
I used 1/2" MDF for the back and 1/4" for the rest of it.

Santa Claus brought me new speakers for Christmas for my 93 coupe that I've had 1 year today. It has a Kenwood head unit. I have seen a picture of the MDF adapters and want do the same thing. Glad this post came up.

Have some Kenwoods in there right now. They work incredibly well. Tight bass. Most of the sound still comes from the rears due to the fronts facing your ankles, but they provide a fantastic sound stage.
Shaved some of the top off to get the carpet on, still kinda makes it pop up a little bit but it looks fine to the eye and the door closes.
Overall definitely worth it over any 3.5" speakers.
