Default Long Term Project

Drove my 1990 L98 Six-Speed Vette today; for the first time in several years, yes a long term project.

A few stats: long rod 383, AFR 195 Eliminator heads, Holly HSR (modded to fit the C4 hood), LT4 Hotcam with 1.6 roller-rockers, 32lb bosch fuel injectors, long tube headers, true dual exhaust with (loud-***) Flowmaster mufflers, controlled by a FAST XFI 2.0. Also added Beam plates, vette2vette frame stiffener bars, replaced all bushings, and upgraded to Grand Sport brakes. In addition to lots of supporting mods for the motor and a lot of body modifications.

No idea what the Horsepower is but it is significant. The Beam plates & frame stiffener seem to be doing the job, on hard acceleration the car tracks straight, with zero rear end deflection as it once had, the car feels better on the road than it did when I previously drove it, no flexing on rough surfaces. A bit more tuning on the FAST ECU and fixing the Air Conditioning and it’s done.

Will post a few more photos this weekend. Here's one to start;

STH,

You were smart to stiffen the body. Did you modify the rear wheel wells (flares)?

So if an unsuspecting C6 or Mustang GT pulls up, they are in for a surprise. Didn't know the L98 performed at that level!

Good luck,

WEK.

Yes; I added flares to the rear wheel wells, I am looking around for the right wheels, Id like to find 18X9 for the front and 19X11 for the rear. I like the 2016 Z06 wheels, but have not seen the size I want so far.

The stripe is painted on, the vinyl stripe's I had found had Blue lines colored in, only working for an admiral blue car. When looking for the right tone of white I settled on Toyota white (I know sacrilegious)

A few more shots of the car, I apologize for the dust washed it yesterday and it's covered again.

Again a little dusty, showing the FAST XFI with the Dan White adaptor, and the Holly HSR.
