Default Trouble

Car seems to start right up Slight misfire. When I shut it off and restart. Barley turns over. Lights dim, speedometer goes blank. acts like it running on two cylinders , backfires and smell raw gas. Have not checked for codes yet. 92 lt1,

Could be any number of things including the (dreaded) opti death throes. Check for codes and see what you get.

Check codes have icm and coil tested and connections pigtail to opti and to the temp sensor on the waterpump. Fuel pressure for good measure. Test and clean battery.

Had a code 26. Found some relays I forgot to hook up. Still working on car and a little side note. I have never cut my hands so bad before working on a car, it's like they did it on purpose. LOL. 92 lt1.

The first time I ever worked inside my 1985's engine compartment, I remember sending a screed to C4 General asking what the engineers where thinking!

Good to hear you found it. Great feeling of satisfaction when you track down a problem.

And I have worked on cars ranging in age from the '50's to current. I have only cut and sliced myself up on this '96 and current late model cars. Even my '94 F150 hasn't caused cuts.

Default Fixed.

It was the opti spark, because of the water pump. And Also needed a icm. Why go half way ? LOL. I don't want to talk about it.:wooh oo:
