I can hardly contain myself. The snow fell Friday night and today its 65 degrees. Bigbird, my new (to me) yellow 95 C4 beckons. While it has 100k on the odo its a Florida car and there isn't a touch of rust anywhere (I'm in Wisconsin). The battery is fully charged and I'm getting itchy. Won't take it out til a hard rain washes all the salt off the roads. The way they salt that may take awhile. For now all I can do is wait.
Funny how that works. You guys stash your car away late fall to avoid the harsh weather and salty roads. Here in FL it is just becoming nice cruising weather. Come summer, FL can be brutal at times. October-March is the best time of the year in FL for cruising; Sunny, cool, and no humidity. I am sure its the same for Texas and most of the southeast.
I'm sorry but that is not true. The STEEL frame of the car can rust. Seen it myself on an 84' sitting in a junkyard near where I used to live. Frame is rotted out in front of the driver rear wheel.
Not a little bit of rust but a big rot hole... Big enough to stick your fist into the frame.
Yes I do drive my car in rain but not salt. I can almost hear my other cars screaming in agony when the salt hits the rockers and floorboards...
