OP - you might consider maybe a "light duty" clean flush using some of the suggested "flushes" in other threads. If you're doing the KS - I might consider the removing of yours and draining, either insert your old KS or just use conventional plugs and then do the "light duty clean/flush", drain again and see what you get this time.
I believe it's important to use "light duty" flush OR maybe just a "vinegar mix OR "toss coin" and pick one.
I hope this isn't your problem... adding the wrong antifreeze will result in a muddy brown coolant, with large clumps. Don't ask how I know this. After repeated flushing, the coolant was still brown but the car was finally drivable. Wasn't on my vette but the wifes car.. which is worse,lol. best of luck.
Agreed...someone could have mixed coolants at some point. Pull the knock sensors and flush it like everyone else said.
