Default Upgrading speakers

Hey guys! I'm currently trying to fix/ upgrade my sound system for my 1991 coupe. It has Bose-Delco speakers and anything aftermarket is going to take some work. Any tips? Will also take sub ideas (I was thinking two 10's with a custom box under the carpet at the back of the hatch)

you can't upgrade bose speakers. You'll need to replace the head unit too if you want to upgrade

Lots of good information about installing aftermarket systems in the Audio/Electronics section of the Forum.

I had to make wooden templates to mount the speakers, they can go back in their boxes with a little modification. However, my tweeters are sticking out too far to use the factory covers so I'm fabricating some.

Since he's got a '91 the front speakers are gonna be under the carpet sill, not in the door.

For front speakers I designed some enclosures to fit larger speakers in, if you don't mind the work, it'll sound great. Completed them in one night with my dad.

I have it made to fit 6.5". They sound great just by themselves, add in some quality rear speakers and you're in for a treat.

My '91: front sparates with self made enclosures sealed to the car, rear is 8" subs also properly sealed. Amp for the subs is under the passenger seat.
