Default Poll:Wheel color

I've been having a hard time deciding on a wheel color after I finish my Admiral Blue paint job. I currently have the silver ZR1 wheels and I haven't decided if I want to have them powdercoated black or not. The finish on the wheels is good so I'm leaning towards keeping them silver BUT the black wheels with tinted windows does look pretty sick. What wheel color do you guys think looks better?

Also I used pictures of other C4's that are not my own so if you own either of these cars thank you for having such a great looking car that I want to replicate.

The black would look awesome, my only other choice would be polished aluminum.

I'm not a black wheel guy, but who doesn't like the look of black wheels with admiral blue?

I really liked the silver and in an ideal world I could just buy a set of Grand Sport wheels in addition to my silver wheels. (My buddy has Grand Sport wheels on his trans am and he won't sell them to me) That son of a b...

I feel torn so getting both would be fantastic! haha

I do really like the black wheels though, I have a 12' Grand Cherokee Altitude with factory black wheels and it looks sharp as hell.

I have a '93 Ruby and thought about zr1 wheels painted ruby red or a red wine color like that on a 50th c5.

That would look good on a ruby car.

Both sets make the car look good! You have to decide what YOU like best. I'm just happy to see another well cared for vette!

black wheels make me think the hub caps fell off.
I guess most people don't remember when most cars had hub caps.

I like the wheels to enhance the car. When you make them black they go away.
You can not really see the wheels anymore. You see the whole where the go.

Yes I know I am the odd ball... everyone has to have black wheels.

The black wheels just disappear and frequently you can not see any detail to the wheels. I see a lot of pictures where people show off their black wheels, and I have to do a photoshop enhancement just to tell what kind of wheels they have.

Silver or other bright finishes highlight the detail of the wheels and I feel they add to the appearance of the car.

I guess I worked in a machine shop too long, but I like looking at the metal. My first choice is a machine finish, my second choice is polished, my third choice is painted silver, chrome is a distant fourth partly because I have seen so many of them fail with peeling chrome.

The real question though, is what do you like the best. Make it how you want.

Whenever I find the other Fikse FM5 I need, I'm gonna post pics of my ruby with them. But I've been thinking about getting the center caps on the FM5's painted in Ruby Red.

I was afraid I would get banned for going against the grand sport lip- but if it's not a GS I think just straight black would look sweet.

It depends on the car color. In this case the black rims. I have the OE wheel copies. The machine lip makes them stand out. Espescially the reflection. I do like the rounded contour of the A-molds much better.
