I have a 95 C4 Automatic that is OE. The gas peddle is very touchy. It is very difficult to start from a complete stop and not jerk the car forward. Taking a turn from a complete stop is even harder without the car wanting to take off. There is no hesitation it just seems the peddle at very little pressure provides too much throttle. 300hp IMO is not enough to do this.
Is there any adjust to the Throttle Body or is this problem something else.
Check your throttle cable linkage for binding or tightness. Check too see that the throttle opens and closes smoothly when the car is off. Check cleanliness inside. Next your throttle position sensor should be checked. There is no adjustment and if its out it needs replacement.
ASSUMING your tach is correct, what is your warm idle in neutral? It does sound like you have too high an idle or your trans, which you say is stock is engaging too early.

Tach shows a little over 1,000rpm cold and a little over 500 warm.
I don't think your going to be able to do anything about what you have described. Mine is the same way. Its almost like the torque converter has too low of a stall speed or something. Its absolutely touchy enough to cause problems during low speed parking lot maneuvers.

it's more a PIA than anything. Yes specially when parking. A new throttle kit cost less than $60. I need to find a good corvette specialist north of Boston for little thing like this rather than trust a dealer.

Anybody knows one I'll be glad to patronize them
If they are right that it's the way it is, there is little anyone can do short of changing the entire system. Give Hitech motorsports in Elk River MN a call.
