rear window removal

What is the best way to remove round black nuts holding back window to hinge assembly? Do I just break the window?

That would be one way but sounds messy why do you want them off?

I have a replacement because my 20 year old tint is purple. I have the nuts off, a blast of penetrating oil and needle nose pliers to twist them off. The problem now is breaking the sealant between the glass and the hinge assembly.

You will most likely break the window solving your tint problem. Try this spray the tint with 409 cleaner many stores sell it just a household cleaner. Spray it on the tint then wrap in black plastic and let it sit in the sun repeat if needed.

If you want to break it I would remove it from the car from the halo.
