Has anybody tried using the steele rubber products? They have peel and stick, not sure if all the sizes would match but figured I would ask if anybody had experience with it.
I know everybody says go GM or corvette-rubber, just wanted to see if anybody was familiar with this alternative. Seems to be a big hit on car resto shows.

I just recently bought a C3, so I've been dividing my time between the C4 and C3 pages of this forum, but anyway, when the subject of weather stripping comes up on the C3 pages, all the guys recommend CRC (Corvette Rubber Company) hands down for fit, appearance, and softness.

CRC is also probably the recommended choice for the C4. I buy the CRC brand from Wilcox. By the far the best quality and fit out of other brands I have used.
Oh my! I would call them and complain. Did you install yet, does it fit properly? I will see if I still have my shipping label
Did not install - there is an issue with one of the corners. They are sending a new part. Customer service has been responsive so far - part of why I'm willing to pay a premium for their product.

How do you order the CRC brand through Wilcox? I bought a rear hatch weatherstripping from them and it fit good, except the corners are not 100% perfect.

Call them and tell them what you want. Here are the corners of the steel rubber.
I just installed door weather stripping from steele rubber on my 87 convertible and it installed fine and seals great so far.
I used 3m weather stripping adhesive too. Whatever brand was on there that I took off had a nice plastic frame molded into it where the screws went through the rubber. The steele rubber product didn't have this. I have a feeling the screw down points could be an issue in one corner over time normally because of this but with the 3m stuff I put under it Im hoping it will do ok.
Replacement arrived and installed - consider me underwhelmed
Does not fit near as nice as in the pictures kenmohr posted earlier in this thread. There is plenty of length, but the corner miters are just not quite right. Bag said "Made in India" again, so I guess they are sourcing them from the same place as the other vendors now. Probably not worth the price premium anymore. I will let them know they should remove "Made in USA" from their website.
Not worth my time to remove and return and have to purchase again from someone else. But if the corners split I'll be
