Default Quick question on shocks

Hi.

Went to Shockwarehouse and ordered a set of four. Everything went well and installation was a breeze. (Kudos to whomever recommended them with the rebate and all.)

Anyway, I think that the vehicle does ride better, though it's hard to tell sometimes. The previous shocks did not leak that I can tell, and they move slowly when compressed and decompressed. My question is:

Should I be able to compress them by hand?

The new ones will not compress by hand but the old ones will.

Just want to know for my own sanity.

Thanks all.

Guessing these are KYB, just put some in myself. They do take a bit more force to compress, especially fresh out of the box.

The reason the old are easy to compress is simple: they are Old.

Brands are necessary to make a reply valid.
However your comment regarding ride quality also needs some reinforcement.
