The brakes on my 94 have a hard peddle. The original owner had ceramic brakes installed. The booster is OK. Do the ceramic pads require more peddle pressure?
I also have ceramic's in my 86 though they were in when I bought it. Comparing it to my other vehicles, I'd say it takes a little more brake pressure when it's cold for the first few blocks but after that it's what I'd call normal.
I have no idea what brakes are on my 95 but the pedal has much more of a firm feel to it than either of my other passenger cars or my truck. I don't think there is anything wrong with mine, its just different than other cars.
Wow, thanks for the link to the thread. I'll be reading through it when I have more time.
I only 'think' the booster is OK. My reasoning is that before I start the car, I pump the brakes 3 times and then start the car. As soon as the car starts, the vacuum starts and pedal drops normally as it does in my Lucerne and my Park Avenue. I don't have a vacuum gauge, but it appears to have normal vacuum. I've also removed the check valve pm the booster and it is working. I'll check for a cracked booster case. I noticed in the thread that some seem to think that exercising the anti lock system helps.

There are some hidden possibilities, like a cracked booster case. It usually cracks on the passenger side bottom (especially if you have headers).
Also, see this thread (and the linked post especially):
