Hello, I'm in the process of getting my 84 repainted.
I think I'm going with the 2003 GM #88 spiral gray .
Is there a source for this paint online? I don't have a local supplier
Thanks
Monte

Where are you located that you can't get automotive paint? You need a multitude of product and I can't imagine you being anywhere you can't be helped. You need paint (color, catalyst and reducer) and also any preparation product for the "color" to be applied over.
Look at Summit racing, if their paint part number starts with SW it is re-labeled sherwin williams paint and its excellent. I have always had great success with it. Base and single stage, when I use the base I use a premium clear like Wanda or PPG.

no flames and while it may or may not make any difference, but as a rule of thumb, I never mix brands. the paint companies spend a lot of money formulating their products to work together - they call it a "system." besides, just about any line will carry premium level clears. BTW, not that I've done a lot of painting, but PPG is my product of choice. a friend of mine buys his paint on-line, and swears by "restoration shop" products. I've seen several of his paint jobs, and they look outstanding. besides, 90% of it is in the prep anyway.

You might want to post your questions in the "Paint/Body" section of the Forum. You can get all sorts of information there with regard to product sources, equipment, and how to properly prep the car for paint.
Have you talked with local body shops to find out where they get their paint? Or asked them if they would sell you pre-mixed paint? Good body and paint shops have in-house computer-run systems that mix the paint just prior to applying the base coat. Most paints sold today are water-based. As mentioned, there are a number of other things to buy and they will be specific to water-based paint.
