Default 1986 corvette
I have a 1986 corvette that runs good on idel but when I drive it a little ways down the road it starts dieing and becomes harder to start

Plugged cat(s)? Have the inlet and outlet temps checked with an infared thermometer.

get a new fuel filter, and new plugs

My '87 did that, and it was the HEI chip in the distributor. When it got warm, it failed, then it cooled down and was ok til it warmed up again simple fix.
