Default Dark Red Metallic differences?

I'm in the market for a C4 right now, looking at a few DRM's between 87-90. I noticed some of them look much lighter and more copper toned, while others are a truly deep dark red. Did they change the shade of this color over the years or does it really change that drastically in different lighting?

Yes, DRM had three different shades during the C4. 86-88 is the most coppery red. In 89 it became more of a true deep red. Then they changed it a bit more in the 90s. I believe the rpo code changed with them, too.

Earlier through '88 (Code 74 - WA8748), '89 - '90 (Code 68 - WA9239) and in '91 code changed but formula remained the same I believe '91 (Code 75 - WA9239), that's the way I believe it remained for any following production years when avaiilable.
