Default Temp Question

On my last run on the Dragon we were running spirited but not nearly as spirited as I've done it before. We were relaxed enough for me to notice my temp which is usually around 187 was 231.

I've really never had an instant to check it before, any reason it would be that high on that run? Is it normal for that temp? It was right on for the entire trip up and the rest of the week including the track time which was way more aggressive but the Dragon run had it way up there. I was running the A/C that time, auto trans kept mostly in 3rd, really wasn't pushing it all that hard.

Fluids levels checked OK and coolant flushed and changed 1 week before.

Maybe the altitude with a little thinner air and the road grade was steeper than you thought. The torque converter might have been working hard and putting more heat in the trans cooler. BUT;The fact that track temps didn't go that high makes me wonder why too. Could have even picked up a bag or paper on the Dragon run that blocked your air flow, and it fell out later when you stopped.

Altitude and the moonshine your buddy put in your tank.
