well crap.
I have so much in the garage to put on the vette. Vortec head, headers, comp cam, roller rockers, new high flow water pump, air pump deleate. radiator and both hoses, ect. BUT, just got back from the docs. Did a heart scan with the camera thingy inside my body. Now I know why I just don't have the energy to put a new top end on the car.. oh, have eldebrock high flow runners and manifold. Thought I would get by with ,at worst, a stint. Nope, need open heart surgery. crap.

I'm sorry to hear this.
Here's praying the surgery fixes everything and you'll be back to working on your Vette soon.

I'm sorry about the news. My grandpa is going through a similar thing. The positive is that technological advances have improved almost everything - surgeries, medical equipment etc.
And I agree w/ one of the posts above. Once you feel better, gotta find someone to work on the car for you! I'm sure some young buck who loves cars or has his own C4 would do it for little cost

Just like you want to build up your Vette...the Doc wants to do the same for you too! Open heart surgery is never easy but the doctors make it sound routine. Best of luck with the procedure. When completed you will perform better and then you can do the surgery to your Vette!

Sorry to hear that. Good luck with the surgery.
I had heart surgery (bypass) about 10 years ago. I had heart surgery (aortic valve replacement) about 2 months ago. Both went well and I am feeling good again. I hope yours goes as well.

Good luck to you my friend!
My father had stints.........less than a year later he was back in the surgery room with open heart surgery, better than ever after 3 years or so now since then.
Be glad you found it now and they realize it is open heart worthy and not stints that obviously was not the best option for you!
Those mods to the car can wait; let's get the mods done to your body first! Your body is a much more important machine than the Vette!! Plenty of c4's; only 1 of you!

The medical profession has made great strides in open heart surgery. I had a angioplasty procedure about three years ago now. I was back to 100% in a week. Open heart will realistically take about 9 months to get back to 100%, but you will make it. This will give you the time to mind map all the work you want to do on the Corvette. So when your back at it you can do the "heart" upgrade on you car. Then you will both be good to go to tear up the roads!
I know that all will turn out well for you.
