I change cap and rotor every year because of the boogers hanging off the electrodes. At which time, I like to peek into the cylinders and make sure all is well and the plugs don't stick. I run the cap and rotor till spring and change it for the new season. Plugs seem to be able to last about 2 years max before I get hiccups which the new plugs instantly cure with the long life ones. Besides, with the TPIS headers, they are pretty easy to change

Be careful the early heads had a much different spark plug than the later heads (shorter). For brands I recommend Champion and AC Delco copper plugs, no platinum, and Iridium is a waste on a normally aspirated engine.
