I've come to notice that for a (relatively) fast car, I thoroughly enjoy driving it even at or below posted speed limits. I really am enjoying this car...
I rarely exceed the posted speed limit in Pensacola, revenue enhancement officials have nothing else to do around here but stop speeders and bust pot smokers. Actually they do have other things they can do but they go where the easy money is.
But when I get away from town on those remote country roads I may exceed the posted speed limit by a few MPH :-)

I know what you mean.
Even when not pushing the car very hard I still enjoy it. To me it is the right combination of performance (handling, acceleration, braking, even fuel economy, and "feel" in the car). Compared to my other cars the Corvette has more precision in everything it does. For example even on an Interstate highway a simple lane change is different. In other cars they seem to just drift to another lane, but in the Corvette, they turn, move to the other lane, turn again to straighten out. There is a precision to where you want to position the car or to accelerate or brake. They just do exactly what you want them to do. They are fun.
My daily driving is very sedate, and still very enjoyable. Usually, the commute is the highlight of my workday. It is a very comfortable race car. Not interested in contributing involuntarily to the policemen's ball.
But on the NCM Motorsport Park track, very different story.
Listening to the finest stereo ever made (Corvette exhaust) as the Nittos sing out four part harmony is priceless. Best $45 I've ever spent, and much cheaper than a fuzzbust. And Kentucky fuzz really wanted to bust us on the way home.

Have to know, 'cause very similar to mine, what year? Guessing '88.

Well said! The few ppl I've taken for a ride have noticed the difference too especially the engine and trans sounds. What they're normally in is like a sound-proofed cubicle.
Interesting subject. When I'm in my DD I'm always on a mission. The radio is on and the speed limit is mostly irrelevant.
When I'm in the Vette, I tend to stay in the right lane and just enjoy the carefree drive. The Procharger and Corsa's are my music.
