Default 95 Steering Noise

I am getting an awful low growl whine noise when the car has been driven for a while (hot) when driving/cornering at slow speeds around 10mph. The steering wheel will need be to be turned from 50% to all the way for cornering or during U-turn to make the noise.
The steering wheel/turning does not get difficult during the noise.

I cannot make the noise without the car rolling. Turning the steering wheel while at a stand still will not reproduce the noise.

Car has 18k on the clock and the steering fluid is full.

Any suggestions/help is appreciated

Have you tried using turkey baster to remove old fluid and put in new?

Dry tie rod ends and ball joints can make an awful sound when turning ...

The noise is engine driven.

Use a turkey baster to remove all the fluid you can from the power steering reservoir. Then refill with same amount of new fluid. If you have no history of it ever being done it is an easy and inexpensive thing to rule out.

It looks like you are participating in an active power steering fluid thread:

Go with synthetic if you can. However, Lucas worked well for me, makes things a little more quiet as well.

Yes But, still not decided what is best. Thank you for your help. Much appreciated

I will go with the Synthetic. Must buy a new Turkey Baster today rather than get beat with the one in her drawer :-)

I use this as 100% in my '87 and have done problem free for over ten years...
