I caught my first wave!!!
I have had my vette since July 17th. Everytime I am out and pass a vette, nobody waves. I wave to them but they don't wave back. I was getting very frustrated.
Today I was out cruising around with my brother-in-law. We past three corvettes in a row. A C5 and then 2 C4's all three of them gave me the wave.
I just wanted to share my excitement since I was down and disappointed about the wave :cry

I got my first wave about ten minutes after I got my vette. A C3 passed me by and I got a big wave out of the top. That first wave feels great. Keep waving and maybe I'll see you in the city.

Seems in my neck of the woods (notice I am not judging everyone based on my limited experience :blueangel: ), I really only get waves from fellow C4 owners. Most C5's will atleast look, but good number won't, expecially the Z06 guys. A lot of the ratty C3's won't look while the nice C3's usually wave. The couple C2's I've seen don't bother to look either. I saw one 62 and he wove like he had a rubber arm :lol: !
I think it has a lot to do with the time of day too... During commuting hours, people just want to do their thing and probably don't even notice. When I am out cruising, almost every Vette waves. It is great to exchange waves when other non-Vette owners are with me. They always think it is so cool!

I got a wave from two MY C5s running side by side going the other way in traffic. I was on my way home from buying my black/black LT4, & only had the car about an hour. One guy even stuck his arm out the window waving. I guess all C5ers aren't snobs. I didn't know I missed the Corvette wave so much. It's good to be part of the club again. :seeya

There are a lot of Corvette's in Titusville, and yet, none of them waved in my first 3 months of ownership - even though I waved at every one. Then, last week, I caught my first wave from the first Grand Sport I've seen in my city...It made my day!
