The cover on one armrest pad was coming loose on the hinge side, making it hard to open. Because a new replacement is not available without the whole door panel ($700+), I decided to proactively repair the damage before it failed.
It comes out with four screws. I used pony clamps and white Gorilla Glue to re-seal the loose edge. It's also a good time to consider replacing foam if yours is shot.
I did something similar on console lids in both my Vette and T-Bird.
How's the Gorilla glue holding up? I'm not 100% satisfied with the stuff I used and am willing to redo them when needed with something better.

Thanks
I hope to do a follow up with the GG durability after some time with the fix. My experience with GG is that the clamping is key to success. I use it a LOT on my R/C foam planes and it works a treat. Epoxy gets too brittle.
I will use Gorilla Glue when I - eventually - redo the dash pad that's curling up near the windshield.
