OK, I need some ideas on what may be wrong. My 91 started running very rough at 1000 rpm or less. When I get on it or am going over 1200 rpm or so, every things ok. At stop signs it runs so rough I have to put it in neutral or it almost dies. I ran thru a pretty good water puddle the day before it started happening, but I know it has dried since then and it still does it. Any ideas?
Sounds like you could have gotten Opti Spark wet. I have the vented Opti on my 96. So mine has the tendence to dry faster. But I have never gotten it that wet. The only other time that that has happened to me is when my IAC valve went out. The car would stutter and die when I came to a stop light and turned the A/C off. Then the car would die. Once I put the new valve in , it ran fine.
I haven't had this happen to my vette (hop never) but an old car I used to have did that twice. Once there was a problem with the Oxygen sensors and the other time I had a tear in my air intake i think. This may be the problem but I am not very smart when it comes to mechanics. (Hope to learn though)
When it happened it got soo bad that i had to kep tension on the gas or else the car would die.
