Default Firing Order 1991 C4 Basic

Help experts What is the Firing Order on my 1991 C4 Base Vett. Where is it on the intake manifold?

18436572 clockwise rotation if you google "sbc plug wire diagram" it will show illustrations of where wires go

On the distributor cap going clockwise it starts at 1, then 8 4 3 6 5 7 2

Make sure your rotor tip points to #1 cyl is at tdc (#1 is the front most cyl on the drivers side). With the cap on start your wires there (firing order)

Drivers side cyl going from front to rear
1 3 5 7

Pass side front to rear

2 4 6 8

Default Cylinder numbering

Just "FYI" to tuck in your files...



You might notice that the GM LSx order departs from the SBCs and adopted the same firing order as used in the Ford MOD motors. However, because Ford and GM number the cylinders differently, the firing order appears to be different.

Anywayz.... Just some trivia that might come in handy some day.
