Default Radio installation

Hi, need photos showing how to reinstall my Delco radio in 1987 Corvette. Technician removed it thinking I wanted a replacement, and when I picked up car, he had left it out and said he didn't have time to reinstall and would charge me again. He tried a replacement he had, but it didn't work, so had some labor tied up in it and didn't want to spend the time putting mine back. Anyone that can enlighten me ?
Thanks.

Tech shouldn't be charging you to reinstall, If you have a Bose system the tech (if you can call him that) certainly should have known the new radio wouldn't work.

Tech (and I call him that loosely) tried to install a rebuilt Delco radio (1985) and when installed, it had no sound, so he removed it. I also think he should have reinstalled mine no charge. Not a happy camper!!!

The ONLY people that have worked on my 89 that I have been satisfied with are the folks that do the oil changes. Everybody else screwed up their task and/or ripped me off. I HATE anybody else working on my vehicles.

I don't have photos but can describe how it's done:

1. Take inner dash panel out. This is the piece around speedometer, etc. There are several screws in front and three to the side close to the door hinge. When removing, remove the tilt lever from the wheel column and take your time. Be careful, it's old plastic and can crack easily.

2. Remove the center console, the part that surrounds the info window, radio, AC controls, etc. About 7 or 8 screws, some to the right that are hard to see, use a flashlight. Put tranny lever back when taking out to allow clearance.

Now you will see your radio bay and work from there. There should be single DIN (that's just how high a radio fits) held in by screws, one per side. May be on your radio. If it's not there, find tech and get it back .

Behind the DIN, you'll find a large connector, there's an adapter to use to connect other stereos:
