Default Wind noise

I prefer window/down to air conditioning when I can get away with it. With my 95 coupe I can lower it an inch, which does little for air movement, or lower it half way down. Full down is fine when I'm alonw but with my passenger it really beats them up. The sweet spot is 2 to 4 inches down but the wind turbulence is so bad I can't stand the noise. Has anyone tried some sort of deflector or similar on the A pillar? Back in the day before everyone used AC there were a variety of them available.

I agree with everything you wrote. The deflectors that go between the mirror and the A pillar are still available from several sources.
I personally can not get over how they look so it's windows down for me. My girlfriend and her hair say different. To bad, here's a hat.

^ lol

I actually keep a pink hat in the vette for the wife...

I like having the windows down and the top off on the freeway, one complaint I have is I have to scoot my butt down a tad to prevent my hat from trying to get sucked off of my head.

You could try one of those rear hatch lift devises which raises the rear glass about 2 inches which provides better air flow through the cab. You can find them on fle-bay or at the supporting vendors for this forum. One is easy to install but I have issues with it turning the cargo light off properly. The second one bolts on (takes longer to install and remove) but seems to work the best for me.

a rear hatch vent would help along with the 86-96 convertible mirror deflectors

I use the wing vents on my F100 all the time. No A/C!

When I bought a replacement mirror for my '96, I mistakenly selected one from a convertible. I drilled out the three rivets and took the deflector off. Looked weird to me.

Anyway, if you want to try it (I only have one for drivers side) you are welcome to mine. It's taking up space.

You can have it for the postage if interested.

It is way too hot/humid here for the C4 without A/C. Most especially right now. 98 degrees and 99 percent moisture makes the inverted fishbowl a form of torture. My A/C works hard.

Here's what I bought. It was triple riveted to the mirror housing.

Coming soon!
