Default My first vette!

Thought I would post some pics of my first. It's an 86, manual, seems to have had some work done, just ready to click 80k miles. I have had a lot of fun driving it the last couple months and any input would be appreciated. Tire sizes are front: 285/35ZR18, rears are 315/30ZR18. Exhaust say Borla on tips. The interior is kinda rough, carpet in pretty poor condition.

It seems to have a mind of it's own, buttoni doesn't seem to do anything, sometimes shifts into OD, sometimes not.

Welcome to the site. I noticed the air filter cover/change as well.. same with the distributor. Great looking car, and the over sized wheels/tires look very nice. Oh, WARNING.. put some emergency hood release cables on your car.. plenty of post "how to" in here.

congrats on the Vette, looks good. Looks like it's got Iowa plates on it, where it's from or where you live?
Looks to be in good shape, though I assume you're running some form of spacer on the wheels? I'm very leary of them, having seen to many problems in the past.
Like the 86's, got one myself.

It says Vortex Ram air on it, not sure if that is the name brand, was gonna take it apart and clean the filter soon.

Yes, I live in Iowa. What kind of problems with the spacers and are there any warning signs of trouble?
