Well let's see how it works !!

1. The cops drive over the limit without lights and sirens.
Ans. When they do they are usually going to a call which probably doesn't require lights and siren. It just something that could or could not be important. Remember we don't want you crying about how long it took us to get there, to find out the noise you heard was a racoon in your trash.
Also what you don't know is that a lot of times they are only speeding to a call to another car gets there and cancels the 2nd unit.
A experienced cop doesn't patrol fast as you miss things that way. It's hard to see someone crawling in a window, or someone stealing the stereo out of your vette when you pass by at 70 mph.

2. Cops don't get tickets.
Ans. Yeah your probably right (sometimes), but we don't get a the perks you get at whatever job you work at either. Say you are in sales, well you don't pay full price when you buy something where you work.

3. Cops are Bullies.
Ans. Most cops prefer not to get in a shouting match, fight or any conflict with anyone they come in contact with. They aren't looking to bust heads or shoot anyone like some of you think. They do however like to go home at night ALIVE. Most of the TV accounts that you hear about, your only hearing half the story and the poor victim probably asked for what he got, althought I think some cops did go a little over the limit. Don't be a azzhole and you won't have to worry about it.

4. People are cops for the power trip.
Ans. Most aren't concerned about the power trip. Most became cops because they want to do that type work. If I wanted to be on a power trip I would be a CEO somewhere, then try to screw you over your life savings and stocks to benefit myself. Now that would be a power trip.

5. Most people don't like cops.
Ans. Most people with any brains do like cops. In fact that is becoming more and more noticeable over the past year since 9/11.
People with any sense know when they screwed up and althought they might not like a citation for something, they accept it without crying about it. Airing out your vette might be fun but if you get caught don't cry about it. Remember your the one driving it and going fast, not the cop who
stops you.

Most people cause there own problems and then want to blame the police for something to make themselves look better. Lawyers blame everything on the police. (EX.) Their client shoots three people in front of 20 witnesses and by the time it gets to court it's the cops fault it happened. Remember the OJ trial.

Wow what flames. I'm glad I live in a conservative state, Wyoming where the great majority of the people are pro law enforcement. Keeps the crime rate down. It's much better to work with them than agaist them. Just my opinion. 84 CF 91 ZR-1

If I ever get pulled over for no front plate, I am going to have a fit. I see tons of cars in Cali w/expired TABS, ALL the time... The cops need to bust the peeps who don't pay the rediculous licence renewal fees and leave my lack of a front plate alone....
