BHCC pics with commentary :)
I did Devils Tower this year on my own and although it's fun to see I actually enjoyed the drive to and from it much more. A few nice little twisties and the scenery was fantastic. I did see quite a bit of roadkill on the way which made me a bit more cautious driving. They had cancelled the Spearfish Canyon cruise due to construction but I hit it on Saturday and it was fine, once I realized that if I took the top off I'd actually see something besides sunvisors

First group of pics is from the Hot Summer Nights in Sioux falls the eve of the caravan. I just took pics of random cars that I liked in no order.

These pics are from the parking lot of the Ramkota Inn on I-29 that we left from on Thursday Morning. The guy running it said they had over 500 cars pre-registered and expected to pick up some on the way which we did, along with maybe 150-200 additional cars when we got out there. With the number of cars I saw I'd say that was a bit conservative...oodles of Plastic Fantastic all over the place

A few pics from the event host hotels parking lot...

A 95 with 22K miles on it..it was darn near perfect and for sale

Our Rushmore trip...with the requisite self-promotional pic

These are from Vette Street USA, the show/shine on Main street in Spearfish Friday night. A quick note...and I'm not saying this as a proud C4 owner either, but I stood back in spots and just watched to see what people were actually looking at. Unless the car had a very unique color or some obvious mod done to it, many people just walked on by the C7-C6-C5 cars. The cars that got people to stop were the clean examples of C4's, C3's and what few C2's were there. I sipped on a soda for around 15 minutes and counted eight people that actually took the time to walk around my car and give it a good look-see
Any nice C4 got more than it's fair share of attention along with the older ones as well. Not to intentionally sound like an a$$hat but I had a thought to myself while out there...now the C5 guys know how it feels to have their cars not be the "latest and greatest" around with two new generations after them..but be that as it may I think everybody in attendance had fun. There was one C6 that was really cool...it was painted up in a patriotic scheme and the hood was open. The owner would ask passer-bys if they served in the military and if yes he asked them to sign the hood...good salute to the vets I think.

Three generations of Corvette Blues....

I tried not to double down on too many of the cars but I'm sure I got a few twice. All in all another great trip and if you haven't done it...put it on your bucket list but as I've said before make SURE your tires and brakes are up to the task

astepup said that

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
I was taking a coffee break on Iron Mountain Road. The old black C4 made it all the way to Spearfish and home again with no problems. It has over 105K mileage and still likes to cruise at 85-90. The speed limit on the way out on I-90 was 80 mph and many of us stayed close to it.
The view from where I was taking my break on Iron Mountain Road.
