Has anyone tried installing DRL on a C4. I have a '94 and after taking it out twice I was nearly hit by a truck and today a sedan. In both cases they did not see me coming down the road. We ride pretty low so anything to let others see us would be an advantage. I'm looking at LED's. Anyone have ideas?

I suggest you use the webelectronics DRL mod. I have been running mine for 10 years. It uses the turn signal ambers lens and works very well
I suggest when you get them you wire them in sync mode. What this does is disable the DRLs when you are signaling for a turn. As soon as the turn is complete the DRLs come back on. This was designed so somebody coming the other direction is not confused that you are making a turn. So they function like a normal turn signal. This is a really good kit I'm sure you will be happy with it. GC

Numerous studies done worldwide since the 1970s have tended to conclude that daytime running lights improve safety. A 2008 study by the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration analysed the effect of DRLs on frontal and side-on crashes between two vehicles and on vehicle collisions with pedestrians, cyclists, and motorcyclists. The analysis determined that DRLs offer no statistically significant reduction in the frequency or severity of the collisions studied, except for a reduction in light trucks' and vans' involvement in two-vehicle crashes by a statistically significant 5.7%.
That all said, is it even worth cutting up the wires?
This pic was from the ghost lights I installed but notice what looks like headlights in the picture. Those just my hid driving lights. The headlights are off.
With today's drivers texting and/or playing Pokemon Go, you could have 4 big Red Flashing strobe lights and still not be seen.
I deal with it daily on a motorcycle.
Very few drivers actually pay attention to their surroundings these days.
Our 'low slung' Corvettes NEED to have running lights, cuz ppl just don't see them very well...and MOTORCYCLES least of all!!
We bought a Buick Enclave this spring - "White Mist". On a trip across town one foggy morning, we had to "panic-brake" 3 times in 10 miles cuz (I suppose) the car was "camouflaged" with the fog...in SPITE of LED running lights. F'king TEXTING... while driving (I believe) rivals drunk drivers - far as accidents go. Maybe strobe lights like some MC riders have would be better?

I ran DRLs on the 86 and found that visability was much better.

Daytime Running Lights The DRL-1C4 module is designed to convert the front turn signal lamps into Daytime Running Lights. The module comes with all the necessary wiring and connectors to install into your 1984-1996 Corvette. The unit is installed under the hood, near the left inner fender. Installation should take about a hour. You will need a volt meter, wire cutter/strippers and a pair of pliers to make the connections.

Sure. And in among the HD crowd, the loud pipes will save lives. Sounds way better than saying they want to recreate some sound of the past so it fools others into thinking they are having some superbike without having to spend the time and money to make it.
Like I said, the DOT has already showed us it doesn't work except in a limited case.

As a matter of fact I still have the kit on my tool box.
Twenty bucks and shipping if your interested PM me.

Thanks for posting the link. I just ordered the kit for my 89!
, actually, kind of like the idea. may have to think about this one. speaking of lighting mods, has anyone installed one of the, one-touch, "blinking lane changing" mods? I had this feature on my C6 - liked it and used it.
