How do I get the Queen to approve a third Corvette?
I found a beautiful 1992 6 speed and got an agreeable price on it. 71k miles excellent condition inside out.
She is going to freak out big time. I have to come up with some way for her to accept me bringing home a third Corvette. Trust me if I could sell the 1988 for $8,000 I would let it go.

Tell your wife it's for your birthday. Just bought my 5th Vette for my 62nd birthday in July. 1995 two owner 42k miles.

Since they get better gas mileage than my 4 cylinder, I sold them as economy cars.
It worked for me since I had a 100 mile per day commute. It also helps that my wife likes them too.
Good luck.

I've always been told "it's easier to ask for forgiveness than it is permission".

Unless you're in prison or the armed forces you should be able to do as you please (within reason). If it's your hard earned money then go for it.
If it's her money, then start begging.
Those days are gone where she goes for the free ride while you provide.
I told her and the kids, there will be no cash left when I'm six feet under. I get to spend everything I earned all those years first. I told them they're going to have to sell something to generate cash some day.
I can't see leaving a ton of cash so they can buy a Vette they like

From a recent Craigslist ad; For sale, Suzuki GSXR 1000. It has 1000 miles and has had its 500 mile mile dealer service. Its been adult ridden, all wheels have always been on the ground. I use it as a cruiser/commuter. I'm selling it because it was purchased without proper consent of a loving wife. Apparently "do whatever the f*** you want" doesn't mean what I thought. Call Steve

Buy her something nice that she wants. The last time I wanted to make a big purchase I asked my wife what she would like and she got a new gas cooktop for her kitchen, and I got a new Carbon Fiber mountain bike.

a trip to the jewelry store might be the first step. whenever I wanted to buy some new toys, I bought her something new first. (and not a cheap plated fake stone)
