Default Is this a fair price?

I own a 93 with 30000 miles. I have never really paid much attention to the going rate for Vettes with high miles. I have two questions. First, is 12,500 a fair price for a 92 6speed coupe. It has a new clutch, removable glass top. It is black with tan leather, and has all the options, has good tires and is in very good (excellent actually) shape, and has 79000 miles. Second, how many miles do some of you fellas have on your Vettes, and would the mileage (79000) on the 92 I am looking at stand you off at all. I am buying some speed parts for the 93, and was considering the 92 just as a daily cruiser. Thanks for any input.

I paid $15,500 for my '93 back in December with 36,000 miles, it now has 39,000 miles(it's race only pretty much)

I paid $22,000 for my '95 three years ago with 57,000 miles, it now has 107,000 miles.

I value my '95 at about $16,000 but would probably sell for $13,000 and my '93 I would sell for what I paid for it.

I just bought an '89 6-speed for $11K with 79,000 miles (39,000 on under-warranty replaced engine) I probably payed a little too much though :smash:

I bought my '91 2.5 months ago. 99k on the clock then, 102k now but shes in immaculate condition and has always been on an extended warranty. Most people think shes new. I paid 11.9k for her from a car lot. L98 6 speed with 3.45 rear end gears. Bose Gold (cd doesnt work) and the Bilsteins are due for a rebuild. Probably an average price but I shopped around for ages as I had to have a blue manual trannie vette. This is my dream car and I would have gladly paid more truth be told. Your price sounds reasonable and if its what you really want then its even better

My dad was a car salesman for 25 years and I grew up on car lots. While people tended to use kelley blue books as a guide...what really always determined if a car was a *deal* was if the owner was happy with it. Now while KBB says my baby should be priced at $9450 they dont even take into account things like its a 6 speed manual, its a BEAUTIFUL blue and has always been on extended warranty, the car is so clean you could eat off of it. Im damned happy with the price I paid which means I got a *deal*, lol. KBB and Edmunds are fine for people whose job it is to buy and sell cars but for those of us for who its a passion...I dont think mere printed words on a page cut it. Just my lame 2 centavos :D

Thats a fair price! 93 coupe KBB $10,150 wholesale, $14,500 retail.
$12,500 is mid book. Theres a up for 6spd. No knock for the miles.
I don't think that a LT-1 is going to go for much less. 10k is the bottom of the market.
HTH.

My 92 had 52k miles on it when I bought it. The paint was more or less mint, the interior is VERY nice. A few small things, but overall very good for a 10 year old car.

It cost $16k even from a respectable dealership.
