I do not get this either. To me the C4 is already so good looking just do not understand why you would want to make it something it is not. If you want a C5 or C6 go find one as they are getting cheaper and already come with nice HP etc. I like my late C4 for what it is period. If I had wanted a C5 or C6 I would have bought one instead.
I defiantly don't understand the attraction. If some one wants a C6 instead of a C4 the cost difference is not big enough to make all the work worth while.
I also like the way C4's look and appreciate mine for what it is.
But if someone gets enjoyment from such a project then they should go for it. (even if we don't get it).

Just because I personally do not get this conversion thing does not mean that I loose any sleep when someone decides to do it. There have been a lot of very nice mods done to all cars including the C4 just because someone has a vision and gets it done.
Just seems to end up looking a bit goofey to my eye when a car as clean looking as the C4 has grafted bumpers and side panels etc. added to it. Reminds me of the C4 kit that was made to look like a Ferrari Testarossa but in reality looked like a C4 with non factory panels hung all over it and only made me appreciate the real C4 and real Testarossa more.
The best parts to add to a car to my eye are made from a company that are designed to fit correctly so you can add them to the car like a factory part-for example the Callaway bumpers are some of my favorites. Look like a factory part but make the car look more aggressive.
Do not know if I am in the minority on this but I seldom see a spoiler hung off the back of a C4 that I like the way it makes the car look-again different strokes for different folks.

I'm actually about $4,800-4,900 in deep including parts and car.
Some folks just like doing stuff like this, changing one platform into another. If there weren't people who would attempt to do this, we would have cars like the Batmobile and other movie cars from back in the day, or any other hot rod, like the '32 5 window coupe from American Graffiti.
I am sure that folks that do pure restorations (that being their thing) disparage people who create hot rods from vintage steel.
Yes some people just want something "different."
Even if that isn't it, some people just need something to do.
And if that isn't it, maybe somebody dared him to do it.
Who knows why people modify their cars, it's not like anyone on CF has done mods LOL
It's not my thing, but if it tickles your fancy and nobody is getting hurt, go for it.
And at least he's not starting with a $25k car!
I'd rather change performance components out of a C6 into my C4 than change body parts. C6 suspension/brakes, and drive train are more worth it than body parts.
