These are on my fairly new to me 87? The logo is C5 or am I missing something? Thanks.
This is what your center cap should look like...
New reproduction 1986, 1988 w/16" wheels & 1990 Corvette wheel center cap. Includes correct color, finish and emblem for your C4 Corvette. Often missing due to broken clips or damaged over time from the harsh road elements. Simply snap into place and your factory C4 Corvette wheels will look new again. GM Licensed. photo courtesy Zip Products http://www.zip-corvette.com/84-96-c4...enter-cap.html
Caps must be licensed to use the correct GM logo, so to sell a reasonably priced product, many aftermarket companies come up with a "reasonable facsimile" to trick the eye. They also typically lack the quality of the originals.
The OP's cap looks like what's supplied with some/most of the "chrome" reproduction wheels and not intended to match the OE. There was never a "chrome" option for a C4 wheel.
OP - do you have some sort of "chrome" wheels on the car?

Yes I do have chrome wheels. I should've mentioned that fact, they are not stock. My neighbor brought up that he thought I had c5 wheels and that's what got me looking into it. So, they are just an aftermarket wheel with some pseudo-emblem I'm assuming?

They could also be original wheels. The only way to really tell is to remove one and check the back side of the wheel.
Back in the day, a lot of vendors offered exchange programs, where you sent your wheels to them and they would have them chromed or send you another set and used yours as part of the exchange program. Some of them were done very well, others, not so much.
Post some pictures when you can. Someone here will no doubt recognize them.

Thomas, you might contact Bob at House of Wheels, I believe he's a Forum vendor. He sells these wheels (reproduction mostly) and has the correct emblem (with double sided tape) for the C4 that goes on your caps. He may be able to get you a set for very little.
