CD player
The CD player does not work - the battery was replaced when I bought the car last month - security feature makes the CD player inoperative - requires security code - nothing in the owners manual explaining how to correct - help please.

I don't recall '94 (I believe you've mentioned this before) having DELCO-LOC. If yours is a factory Bose is it maybe just displaying ERR? ERR is not LOC.
What brand radio/receiver if not OE/Bose? What year car is it? You posted in C4 but is it maybe something "other than" C4?

If it really needs a code, I am thinking you don't have a factory audio unit.
When I had the factory stereo in my '96, I had the battery disconnected many times and it never needed a code.
In fact, I've never seen any mention of a code in any owners or service manual.

I just looked at what it says about the '96 also.
I don't think they are posting correct information on the security feature.
To discourage theft, the CD player required an electronic security code input after battery disconnect.
This part is correct though
A power delay feature was added to all models which permitted the stereo system and power windows to operate after the ignition was switched to "off" or "lock". Power was cut after the driver's door was opened or after 15 minutes, whichever came first.

Can you post up a picture of the unit?

The 1990 with the Delco GM Bose does require a 6 digit code if you somehow you get locked out. My question for you is this, does the CD player even work? To me it does not from what you describe and it is the CD player itself since the radio does work. Let us know what you find out.
How to unlock the CD/Radio/Cassette is in the owners manual. If you can't find it I will look it up when I get home.
The original owner might have set the code. I set the code on mine and I am the original owner.

Down 3/4 way in this link is what I recall about DELCO-LOC - looks very familiar with the retrievals that I've done many years ago BUT never with a C4.

A dealer could likely accommodate you if you provided the information from the display inquiry in the link.
