console lid lock

Hello My1994 base auto has broken console lid release.The button is there but no hook or tab to hock onto console clip.Is this switch/button replaceable or do I need the whole console cover?

I'd think you could cannibalize another lid that has a good button/hook to fix yours. You might be able to source a door in poor cosmetic condition but functions well for cheap.

Here's a potential fix mentioned on eBay - I've absolutely no knowledge of the seller or the legitimacy of the part. Maybe all of the resellers offer these (I've never looked). There's another eBay seller with the button/hook and the spring.

It's just a piece that swaps out, you take the screws that hold the top on and can replace it. I just ordered one, was like 5 bucks.
