thats about right.
The only C5s your gonna get for that $ are going to be rather used up 97s or 98s.
And from my seat, the C4, especially the latest versions, are very fine cars with more of a sports car feel.
Take a drive in a 96 LT4... or any LT1 with a 6spd. is a nice ride. And there are simply tons of parts available.

Why would you want a C5 when you can get a really cool and fast C4, for half the price?
I love all of the Vettes and would probably jump at a C5 if I had the $$$, but I have been more than satisfied with the performance, appearance and attention getting nature of the C4.
I still found it hard to justify the extra money for the C5 when there are so many low mileage C4's out there.
I think if I were to be in the market again now, I would take my money and look for a Low Mileage Grand Sport or Collector's Edition. :cool:
